Bobbins Singer

Why can't my Singer Stylist 834 wind the bobbin?
I just acquired a used Singer Stylist 834 sewing machine with no owners manual. I am trying to wind the bobbin, I have everything threaded according to the directions from the Singer website - however when I push in the indent on the hand wheel disc- it spins but it is not spinning the thread spool to wind the bobbin. Any help would be great!

Singer Industrial Sewing Machines Are Strong, Reliable And Very Efficient
Singer industrial sewing machines are renowned for being very strong. In fact, they have especially been designed to work on tough kinds of fabrics and also for other industrial applications as well. Each such machine has a motor that is strong, robust and reliable and which is sure to give proven professional end results.
Singer industrial sewing machines played a very important role during the Second World War when they were widely being used in the production of trousers and shirts as well as shoes, and overcoats and a lot more for the war effort. As far back as in the year 1941, these sewing machines were used with good effect in the making of pup tents.
Most Singer industrial sewing machines at that time were produced and used for the war effort and the models used were essentially those that applied to the needle trade. Later on, however, more specialized machines were produced and these were used in bulk. Some classic versions were produced that made it easier to sew leather as well as canvas while others were designed and used for the making of heavier leather items which included items that enabled you to stitch leather that was even an inch thick.
Certain models at that time (during the Second World War) were made with a stand and table and these were mainly deployed in places that were remote and inaccessible and which were also frontline stations. Such machines would be airdropped by parachutes to personnel working in forward areas and then the machines would then be used to repair tents, clothing as well as camouflage items.
There are today a variety of Singer industrial sewing machines models to choose from. Some provide an excellent opportunity to make use of industrial straight stitching and which are ideally suited for work on light to medium applications. The Singer 2491D300 is an example of such a machine. It also has high speed lock stitch and a built in knee lifter as well as automatic lubrication system.
Other models have different features including the Singer 2212A that has straight stitch lock stitching ability and which also incorporates twin needles. It also has compound feed and is ideally suited for light to medium kinds of applications. It even has a knee controlled presser foot.
For zigzag stitching, the Singer 20U73 is a perfect machine. It is a model that also allows for straight and lock stitching and it incorporates a zigzag stitch that can be controlled with the knees which is necessary for doing embroidery work. This model offers smooth as well as quiet hook rotation and it has inbuilt bobbin winders and it has a maximum speed of 2500 stitches per minute.
Singer industrial sewing machines are designed and manufactured to meet to the most demanding sewing needs. Buying these machines ensures getting robust and high quality products that will provide excellent service for a long time to come. This is why people choose to trust Singer for all their sewing requirements. The money invested in such machines will be well spent as the machines will last for at least ten to twenty years, if not more.
